Vision is defined as … the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.
Vision is an important skill and characteristic that can help us with self-reflection as well as personal and professional development. To increase the ability for success … or reduce possibility for failure. Gaining all the information available in an accurate, transparent, objective manner.
Have the Town and Sand Trace developer done that? To a certain extent, yes. And then no. Why? Consider this …

First, apologize for the “cartoon” car graphics (only graphics that seemed to work).
Creating a vision for the potential and discussed about traffic light at the intersection of Pleasant View and Log Road. The impact on the plaza will be noticeable and definitive. And more importantly, negative.
Imagine after a long week. Ordering a pizza from Tony’s. Driving home south on Pleasant View and taking a right onto Log Road. Could you get into the side entrance? Probably not. Then, consider the backup onto Pleasant View Road from people either taking a left or right onto Log.
Also imagine attempting to turn left from the Plaza’s Pleasant View exit onto Pleasant View. Or left onto Log Road from the side entrance. Both will be negatively impacted.
Now consider the second issue …

Those residents on the east side of Pleasant View. As in any traffic light, vehicles will be queued on all routes of the intersection. Imagine owning one of those six homes (red arrows) that will not be able to exit easily their driveway when vehicles are queued at the light on Pleasant View and blocking their driveway.
How about the residents on MacArthur Drive (blue arrow) attempting a left onto Pleasant View Road?
Or … emergency vehicles exiting from the Log Road fire station or Police Station?
There is an old quote about vision … It’s like opening your eyes in the morning with the shades down. You’re awake, but not sure.
Does our Town have their eyes closed with the shades down? Objective, transparent and accurate information? You decide.
